The Howard Company Wins the 2000 United Way Community Campaign Progress Award
BROOKFIELD, Wis. (June 28, 2001)—The Howard Company, a point-of-purchase and menu board display manufacturer, won the 2000 United Way Community Campaign Progress Award by increasing employee giving by at least 20%.
Howard Company employees contributed to the United Way campaign in a number of ways. Throughout the month of October, employees took part in many fundraising activities including a silent auction for an extra day of vacation or a reserved parking space, and a loose change contest between departments. Employees also donated money with automatic payroll deductions to the United Way.
The Howard Company, headquartered in Brookfield, WI, is celebrating its 51st year in business. The company serves both domestic and international markets in the food service, beverage, financial and targeted retail industries such as hardware, automotive and aftermarket parts.
