Mainstreet Menu Systems Introduces the “Green” Drive-Thru Menu System
BROOKFIELD, Wis. (April 16, 2008) – Mainstreet Menu Systems recently launched a new drive-thru menu system called the Drive-Thru Choice Series. The Drive-Thru Choice Series uses Mainstreet’s newest “green” lighting technology.
When compared to conventional drive-thru units of comparable size, the Drive-Thru Choice product is 32.8% more energy efficient. Not only is the newly designed unit more energy efficient, the lighting output has increased by 30.4%. The energy savings and increased output is obtained by using the latest lighting technology which requires a precise combination of lamps and ballasts.
Mainstreet’s indoor back-lit menu system, Mainstreet Gold, started using “green” lighting elements in January 2006. “We were pleased with the performance of our 'green' indoor system and decided to enhance our outdoor product as well,” said Mike Kopacz, President and CEO of The Howard Company, Inc., parent company of Mainstreet Menu Systems. “Our goal is to develop 'green' products that require less energy to help our customers save money and to help save the environment.”
Mainstreet Menu Systems’ product line includes outdoor drive-thru, indoor back-lit and magnetic menu systems and food merchandising products for the restaurant and hospitality industry.
