VisionQuest Digital Menu System at Memorial Regional Hospital, Hollywood, Florida

The Background

In 2010, Chef Pierre Flerismond, Executive Chef with Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, Florida, saw a Howard/Mainstreet VisionQuest digital menu board at another Memorial Hospital location in Pembroke Pines, Florida and decided that he had to have a digital menu board for his cafeteria. At first he was impressed with the clean, contemporary look of a digital menu board instead of using counter top style signs to display his daily menu.
He contacted Mainstreet Menu Systems and began the process of selecting a digital menu board for his cafeteria at Memorial Regional Hospital. Chef Flerismond reviewed the ShowQuest menu scheduling software via a webinar with Juan Reyes, Director of Digital Systems for The Howard Company/Mainstreet Menu Systems. Once he saw how easy it was to use the software and how convenient it would be to automatically display his menu dayparts and specials, he was ready to make the purchase.
 

The Solution

Mainstreet Menus quickly coordinated the installation for Chef Flerismond’s new 42” LCD display. While the installation details were being worked on, Chef Flerismond and Howard/Mainstreet collaborated on the design of the daypart menu content templates.  Chef Flerismond uses a 15 day menu cycle and often adds specials depending on what is happening around town or within the hospital such as a Miami sports event or breast cancer awareness.
Chef commented that he enjoys using the software since it is so easy to use and that Juan is always there for him for technical support. But what he likes most about his VisionQuest Menu System is what drew him to it in the first place. It is so much more professional, versatile and appealing compared to static, counter top signs.
